As an RICS Registered Valuer with extensive experience in the South West, Peter Ellicock provides impartial, expert witness valuation advice for both domestic and commercial properties throughout Cornwall and Devon.

Our Role and Duty

As an expert witness, Peter's primary duty is to the court, not the instructing party. His professional obligation is to provide independent and objective opinions, assisting the tribunal in its fact-finding mission.

Peter is available to act as a Single Joint Expert (SJE) where parties agree to jointly instruct a single expert. Alternatively, he can be instructed by an individual party to provide an independent expert report. All of Peter's work is fully compliant with Part 35 of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and adheres to the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics.

Expert Valuations & Diminution of Value

Peter's expertise extends to providing valuations for litigation and assessing the diminution in value a property has suffered—a key element in claims involving professional negligence or property disputes.

His valuations are based on a comprehensive analysis of all relevant facts, circumstances, and market conditions at the date of his report, ensuring his opinion is supported by robust evidence and a clear, descriptive rationale.
